Sheeter Privacy Policy
This page explains what data the Sheeter desktop app handles, where it goes, and what choices you have.
What data Sheeter handles
Sheeter is offline-first. The desktop app does not run a hidden background service and does not stream usage data.
The data Sheeter touches falls into three categories:
- Your content and local app data: cheatsheet files and the snippets they contain, favorites, recents, packs, kits, saved parameter values, local cache files, app settings, workspace registry files, and related app metadata. These are stored locally on your device. App settings and app-owned data are stored in your operating system's application data/config directory. Workspace registry files and workspace cheatsheets are stored in the workspace folder you selected, and other registered cheatsheet files remain at their original locations. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them.
- Support bundles you choose to export: when you click Export support bundle, Sheeter prepares a JSON file that contains the app version, OS/platform information, runtime context, recent in-app log entries, and sheet and registry diagnostics, such as sheet IDs, names, file paths, load statuses, and registry configuration errors.
- Fatal-error reports you choose to copy: if Sheeter shows the fatal-error screen, it prepares report text that contains the capture time, app/runtime context, current app URL and user-agent string when available, startup phase, error message and stack, component stack, and recent in-app log entries. The report is copied only when you click Copy report; you choose whether to send it.
Support bundles are written to a file you pick; you choose whether to share them.
The Report a bug and Send feedback entries open the Agensae contact page in your browser. They do not prepare or send a diagnostic payload by themselves, and Sheeter does not transmit reports automatically.
What Sheeter does not send automatically
- No analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking.
- No advertising identifiers.
- No snippet code, copied text, or saved parameter values in support bundles. Support bundles may include sheet IDs, sheet names, file paths, registry configuration, load statuses, diagnostic messages, and recent in-app logs; review the exported JSON before sharing it.
- No background uploads.
How long we keep diagnostic data
Sheeter does not host diagnostic data. If you choose to send a support bundle or report to us by email or through the Agensae contact page, the retention policy of the service you use applies. We retain support messages for as long as is necessary to resolve the issue, and then archive or delete them.
Children
Sheeter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly process their data.
Your choices
- Diagnostics: nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly export, copy, or send it.
- Crash reports: the in-app fatal-error screen produces a report you copy and send manually. No automatic uploads.
Changes
We will publish material changes wherever this policy is made available and update the "Last updated" date above.
