FAQ

Practical answers about how we work, what we deliver, and how to get started. If you don’t find what you need, reach out and we’ll reply quickly.

What kind of work do you take on?

We do hands-on delivery for data platforms, analytics, and applied AI. Typical work includes platform foundations (ingestion, modeling, orchestration, quality), dashboards and metric layers, and production-grade LLM features (evaluation, RAG, guardrails).

How do we start?

We usually begin with a short call to understand your context, then a scoped first milestone (1–3 weeks) focused on a concrete outcome. You get a clear plan, visible progress, and an implementation you can keep building on.

Do you work in fixed-scope or time-and-materials?

Both. We prefer milestone-based scopes for delivery work (clear outcomes, transparent trade-offs). For advisory, pairing, or audits, time-and-materials can be a better fit. We’ll recommend what reduces risk for your situation.

What do you deliver at the end of a mission?

Working software and the pieces needed to operate it: source code, infrastructure-as-code when applicable, runbooks, and lightweight documentation. We also do handover sessions and pairing so your team can own the system.

Which tools and stacks do you work with?

We adapt to your environment. Common stacks include Python and TypeScript; SQL-first workflows; Postgres; Snowflake or BigQuery; dbt; orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster; and cloud-native deployment patterns.

How do you approach LLM / applied AI projects?

We start with evaluation and success criteria, then design the smallest reliable loop: data → retrieval → prompting → evaluation. We focus on failure modes, guardrails, and observability so the feature is safe to run in production.

Can you work with sensitive data?

Yes. We follow least-privilege access, keep environments separated, and work within your security constraints. If needed, we can operate under an NDA and align on data-handling rules before any access is granted.

Do you collaborate with in-house teams?

Always. We can pair with engineers and analysts, work via pull requests, and keep a regular cadence of demos and checkpoints. The goal is to ship while making the team more autonomous.

Where do you work from?

We’re remote-first and regularly work across Europe and North America. We write and deliver in English and French, and we’ll align schedules to keep communication smooth.
